We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, bank account numbers, or sensitive data (health, race, religion, precise geolocation from your device). Property address and ownership are not "sensitive data" under the laws above, but we treat them with care because they identify your home.

3. How we use it

To provide what you ordered; to send order, delivery, plan-review and account emails (transactional); to send marketing emails only if you joined the waitlist or ticked the box (every one has an unsubscribe link); to improve the software (we use the engineering facts of a project - sizes, criteria, reviewer comments - to improve our rules and jurisdiction records; we remove names and addresses first); to show sample work with your permission and with the address and name removed; to comply with law, keep records (see 12 Records & Retention) and protect our rights.

We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal effects on you. Our software decides which lane a project uses from building-code criteria, and a person reviews every set.

5. Payments

Stripe, Inc. processes card payments. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's page or fields and never touch our systems; we see the last four digits, card brand, and the result. Stripe's privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

6. Cookies and analytics

The site uses only the cookies needed to run it and the checkout, plus [analytics tool]. [If Google Analytics or ad pixels are added: say so here, list them, and add a consent banner for visitors from states or countries that require one.] You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works.

7. Marketing email and texts

Marketing email only with your sign-up; unsubscribe link in every message; our postal address in every message (CAN-SPAM). No marketing texts unless you give express written consent (TCPA); reply STOP to end them.

8. How we keep it safe

Reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small business (New York SHIELD Act, GBL s.899-bb(2)(c)): accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication; encrypted cloud storage; access limited to the people working on your job; payment data handled by Stripe; business devices encrypted; backups; a written list of where data lives. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the authorities as the law of your state requires.

9. How long we keep it

Waitlist and Fit Check data: until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity. Order and job records: 10 years after delivery, because building-defect claims can arise years after construction (see our records policy). Tax records: 7 years. Analytics: [14] months. You can ask us to delete sooner (section 10); we keep what the law or a live dispute requires.

10. Your rights

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you may ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy (access / portability); correct it; delete it (subject to records we must keep); stop marketing; and we will not treat you differently for asking. Residents of California, Connecticut, Virginia, Colorado and other states with privacy laws have these rights by statute where those laws apply; we honour them for everyone. Email [email protected] with "privacy request" in the subject; we will confirm your identity (usually by replying to the email on file) and answer within 45 days. If you disagree with our answer, tell us and we will review it; you may also contact your state attorney general.

Do Not Sell or Share: we do not sell or share personal information; there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes we will post a link here first.

11. Children

The site and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
