YardSet Plans - Refund Policy
Effective [date]. Email [email protected] with your order number; refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 5 business days of our decision.
Site-adapted permit sets and custom sets

| Our gate check finds your site or building is outside the code's prescriptive limits, or your state or town requires a licensed seal, and you decline the sealed upgrade | Full refund of the set price. The $49 feasibility fee, if you paid one, is kept because that work is done. |
| We find after payment that we cannot serve your address (outside the states and towns we list; New York City; a New York dwelling over 1,500 sq ft gross area without a seal; a Connecticut flood-zone lot) | Full refund, the day we find out. |
| You cancel before your intake is complete | Refund less the feasibility fee (if any) and a $150 order-processing charge. |
| You cancel after we have started your set but before delivery | Refund less the feasibility fee and 50% of the set price. |
| You cancel after delivery | No refund. You keep the set under your licence. |
| You do not complete intake | We pause after 30 days and cancel after 90 days, refunding as "before intake is complete". |
| The building department rejects the application or asks for changes | No refund for that reason alone. One round of written responses and revisions is included; a revision caused by our error is free in any round. |
| We made an error we cannot fix | Full refund of the set price. |
Sealed upgrade (licensed-review lane)
The licensed engineer's or architect's fee is paid to them under your agreement with them; their refund terms apply to that fee. YardSet's licensed-review-lane coordination fee ($500) is refundable in full if the licensee declines the project before starting work.
Feasibility report ($49)
Non-refundable once delivered; credited to a set ordered within 90 days.
Catalog plans (PDF, CAD + PDF downloads)
All sales are final once the files are downloaded. A defective file (will not open, pages missing) is replaced free if you tell us within 14 days. The price of a PDF or CAD purchase is credited toward the site-adapted tier of the same plan ordered within 90 days.
Extra revision rounds and builder plan
Extra revision rounds are non-refundable once the work has started. Builder-plan subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and end at the close of the paid month; per-lot fees are non-refundable once the lot set has been started, except as under "site-adapted permit sets" above.
Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your card issuer; most problems are fixed in a day.
